This updated design presents a clean and direct representation of who we are. Be clearly emphasizing our church name, the logo builds upon the strong reputation our local assembly has established within the Millington community. It reflects both the rich heritage that has shaped us and the forward momentum guiding us as we continue aligning ourselves with God’s purpose.

The central flame symbolizes the power and presence of the Holy Ghost. The structured design not only reflects stability, strength, and unity but is also reminiscent of a tent. As Pastor preached earlier this year, we are a church committed to driving the stakes of truth deep and stretching the curtains of the tent wide. We are grounded in truth, yet expanding in vision.

We are especially grateful for Pastor Proctor’s leadership and vision in helping move this project forward. His heart for clarity, excellence, and direction continues to shape who we are becoming.

Pastor J. Blake Proctor, Sis. Natalie, Shyla, Braelynn, and Anistynn

Millington, TN – The Tennessee District of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) recently presented Pastor T. H. Sheppard with the Lifetime Achievement Award at their annual statewide conference. The award recognizes the outstanding ministry and accomplishments of over 50 years of faithful and diligent service to the body of Christ and for his contributions to the United Pentecostal Church International.

Tennessee District Superintendent Doug Ellingsworth presented Pastor Sheppard the award alongside Tennessee District Secretary Jackie Wilkerson to honor Pastor Sheppard’s commitment and sacrifice to the cause of Jesus Christ, his 21 years of leadership as the Tennessee Section 11 Presbyter, and 37 years and counting as Senior Pastor of The Apostolic Church of Millington, formally known as the First United Pentecostal Church of Millington. Upon presenting the award, it was stated that the Tennessee District has far beyond benefited from the life and ministry from this man of God.

HONORING OUR PASTORS – PAST AND PRESENT

Millington, TN – The Apostolic Church of Millington, formally known as the First United Pentecostal Church of Millington, cordially invites the community to join with us as we honor our rich history and celebrate our 60^th

The church was founded in April 1957 and began in a store front building on the corner of Shelby and Quito Road. The founding ministers were Rev. Paul Patterson and Rev. Hazel Simpson. Rev. Hazel Simpson was officially named our first Pastor in 1957. In 1961, due to a fire, the church moved to the old Lions Club building at Third Street and Wilkinsville Road and stayed there until moving in September 1970 to a larger church building at 8190 Wilkinsville Road. In just a short time, God blessed the church with several new families and the church was steadily growing. In 1975, the church purchased five acres of land at 4209 Shelby Road and construction began in August of 1978 on the property where we are currently located. The first service in the new facility was on December 24, 1979.

After Rev. Simpson’s passing in the fall of 1984, the church elected Pastor T. H. Sheppard in June of 1985. Under the leadership of Pastor Sheppard, we have seen many baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. We thank God for blessing us with a wonderful Pastor and First Lady (Joan Sheppard). The Apostolic Church of Millington has a mission to reach the community with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ and values making whole families whole through our connection with Him.
